This unique and small studio pottery piece originated from Southern CA in the Mission district of Riverside, CA. The famous Riverside Raincross is displayed at the center of this piece. The Raincross Symbol is derived from combining a replica of the mass bell used by Father Junipero Serra, missionary priest and founder of the California Missions, and the cross to which the Navajo and Central American Indians prayed for rain.
Artist signed "Parks" with Mission sticker still applied.
